As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.


This role will help us to do this by

  • Carry out all aspects of labouring works on our customers’ homes.

  • Undertake the following supplementary multi-skilled tasks 

  • Deliver an excellent customer experience by understanding the different needs of our customers and tailoring your approach. 

  • Leave customers’ homes clean and safe and dispose of any waste in line with our company policy.

  • Report any potential repairs and safeguarding issues that you notice in the customers’ homes.

  • Update your PDA in real time on a job’s status and communicate with planners if customers are not at home or jobs are not viable.  

  • Order parts, materials or follow up work as required and record work daily outside opti-time.


We need people who are / have

  • Able to undertake/assist with repair work and associated multitasking activities inside and externally on customers’ homes

  • Sound building and construction knowledge

  • General building maintenance repair knowledge 

  • Able to work at heights and use ladders (PASMA/IPAF/TETRA Qualifications are desirable)

A basic DBS check is required and due to the nature of the role a valid driving licence is essential. You do not need to start work from the office or return to the office at the beginning / end of the day.
