In this role, you will be responsible for:

· Conduct basic repairs and maintenance such as replacing washers, securing lose fittings, replacing light bulbs, painting, simple joinery, and assembling furniture.

· Cleaning lint from tumble dryer ventilation pipes in line with maintenance programme.

· Collaborate with the Homes Team Manager and other team members to ensure all tasks are carried out to specification.

· Liaison with independent living and supported housing colleagues to manage and prioritise tasks.

· Pick up and deliver materials and equipment, maintaining a stock of routinely required items.

· Deliver an excellent customer experience

We need people who have:

· Experience of undertaking similar work

· Sound building and construction knowledge

· General building maintenance repair knowledge

· Full valid driving licence

We are looking for an experienced customer service professional to join our Customer Service and Support Team. You will support customers through a growing range of digital channels such as telephone, live chat, social media and email while also helping them to navigate our customer app/portal.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide excellent customer service across our telephone, live chat, social media and email channels.

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate to a high level, in both written and verbal format, answering a full range of customer enquiries, relating to repairs and maintenance, lettings, neighbourhood management, complaints, rents, leasehold and customer involvement. This includes undertaking outbound calls where appropriate.

  • Support customers while navigating our customer app/portal and encourage them to use the functionality available there. This also includes assisting them should they have a technical issue.

  • To resolve customer enquiries within the first contact helping to maintain our Right First-Time ethos.

  • Provide a service tailored to each customer’s specific needs and perspective, following the Mary Gober International approach.


We need people who are/ have:

  • The ability to demonstrate an example of excellent customer experience

  • An understanding of what a Social Housing Association does and Irwell Valleys ambitions

  • Proficient with MS Office package – notably Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Experience of working within a customer service team

  • Experience of working within a digital led multi-channel contact centre would be a distinct advantage


You will be required to be in the office for 2 days per week and can work 3 days at home and you may be required to be in the office more depending on training and probationary period.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Carrying out all aspects of electrical works in customers’ homes and empty properties.

  • Repair/replace electrical fittings and diagnose and rectify electrical faults.

  • Complete relevant certification to BS: 7671 to include EICR, Minor Works and Installation certificates.

  • Adhere to the current edition of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, health and safety regulations and organisational policies and procedures.


We need people who are / have

  • A sound building and construction knowledge due to working in a similar role previously

  • Experience in certifying electrical works and of testing and inspection of domestic dwellings

  • General building maintenance repair knowledge

  • Holds a City and Guilds Parts I, II & III or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation works and City and Guilds 2391 or 2394 and 2395

  • Has current BS:7671 qualification (18th Edition Regulations)

  • The ability to work with IT systems (email, word and excel)


You must also hold a valid driving licence and willing to have a Basic DBS check. Please note due to the requirements of the role there is a requirement to work on standby rota.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Service, diagnose and repair all landlord owned gas appliances in customers’ homes and empty properties.

  • Complete relevant certification in accordance with the Gas Safety Regulations.

  • Report to the Gas Manager any faulty appliances, installations or equipment that does not comply with the current safety regulations.

  • Deliver a good cosmetic finish on completing a job.

  • Report any potential repairs and safeguarding issues that you notice in the customers’ homes.

  • Update your PDA in real time on a job’s status and communicate with planners if customers are not at home or jobs are not viable.

  • Order parts, materials or follow up work as required and record work daily outside opti-time

  • Achieve your performance targets, KPI’s and productivity targets.


We need people who:

  • Can undertake gas heating repairs and gas servicing in customers' homes and of certifying gas works.

  • Have a sound building and construction knowledge

  • Has general building maintenance repair knowledge

  • Certificate of Competence (BSEN17024) – CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1


Please note this role requires a basic DBS check and you must hold a valid driving licence. We also operate an on call rota, which you will need to take part in.

We currently have a full time role available at our supporting housing project at Morris Court in Fallowfield – the scheme supports people with enduring mental health to overcome these challenges, develop their independence, provides support to access employment and/or education. We are looking for someone who can challenge stigma and support people to overcome challenges they face in everyday life and also to support them to move on and maintain their own home within the community.

This role will help us to do this by providing monitoring and support in connection with tenants well-being and housing management needs.

The skills and experience you’ll need are:

  • Experience in a similar role - with young people or adults with enduring mental health.

  • knowledge of and work closely with other support services. And will have Ideally will have worked in a similar role, in an accommodation-based /tenancy support/ outreach / crisis management or community hub setting.

  • A great people person that can use a person centred approach to motivate scheme members to engage with support and make positive life choices that equips them with the knowledge and skills to move on to managing their homes effectively
